Frozen food discounter Heron Foods is planning on boosting store numbers by up to 30 in the next 12 months.
The new stores are planned for the North of England and the Midlands. They will take the Yorkshire based company’s portfolio to 200.
Last year, pre-tax profits fell to £7.05m, down from £7.77m in 2010. However, sales rose 5% from £141m to £148m, which directors credited to relocating existing stores to better locations, and opening new stores.
