Heron Foods has revealed plans to open up to 30 new stores a year.
The frozen foods discounter, which currently has 240 stores, said it would consider locations outside its North of England and Midlands heartland.
“We have scope to infill areas within our existing trading boundaries from our most northern store all the way across the UK down to our most southern store,” said commercial director Mike Igoe.
“However, we would consider speaking to anyone interested in disposing of sites in any geographical area if the scale and logistics could be made tenable.”
Heron is also undergoing a refurb programme to introduce a “new look and feel” to stores.
