Waitrose has teamed up with fine dining London Indian restaurant Quilon to launch a new range of chilled meals to rival Sainsbury’s Bombay Brasserie range.
The range of seven offerings, produced by Noon Products, which also makes the Sainsbury’s range, hit selected stores this week. Prices range from £1.49 for a 200g portion of Coconut Rice to £11.99 for a 1,600g Malabar Banquet packed in one box for two people. The pack contains Mango & Ginger chicken made with strips of fresh green mango and tangy
ginger, Chicken Coconut Masala with chicken in a coconut sauce, Potato & Cauliflower stir-fry with fresh coriander, coconut rice and two Malabar parathas.
Priced to offer a competitive alternative to takeaway meals, the range also features a selection of 350-400g meals priced at £4.29 each.
An Appetiser Selection featuring a combination of four different snacks completes the range.
