Holland & Barrett customers will be able to collect orders placed through the H&B website from 1,100 parcel lockers at locations including Morrisons stores and Esso petrol stations from Monday.
The health retailer has partnered with parcel locker company InPost, which operates 1,100 lockers in locations including Morrisons supermarkets, Esso petrol stations and Transport for London sites, to better cater for its “time-poor” online customers.
It said the lockers were no more than two miles away from the average urban customer, and could be accessed “24 hours a day, seven days a week”.
Holland & Barrett said it had experienced a “big increase” in online orders over the past year. They currently account for 8.5% of its total sales - up from 7% last year.
It hoped the partnership would extend its customer reach, “make failed deliveries a thing of the past” and increase customer satisfaction.
InPost launched in the UK last November and has reported a “postive reposnse” from customers. In an IMRG survey conducted on behalf of the company, 90% of customers said they liked the service and 84% would use it again.
InPost already works with brands such as M&S, GymShark and JD Williams, and expects to announce partnerships with five more major retailers by the end of the summer.
