Frozen food supplier Dalepak has appointed Richard Holt as its first marketing director.
Holt said he was looking to carve out a niche for Dalepak products to rival major competitor Birds Eye Wall's: "I will be looking to drive distribution with key retailers, concentrating on added value products and products with a point of difference.
"We are putting together a strong new product development programme for the summer. The market has been through a difficult period and we are looking to build consumer confidence in our brand."
Holt, 37, has spent more than 15 years in the branded food sector.
He joined Northern Foods in 1988 as a marketing assistant rising to senior national account manager for Asda and Tesco, then account controller for Marks and Spencer.
