Donal Horgan is to replace Michael Nason as the MD of Musgrave Group’s franchised c-store division Musgrave SuperValu Centra.
Horgan moves from Musgrave Group, where he has been head of logistics for the last three years. He has been overseeing the development of the group’s 135m national distribution centre in Kilcock, Co Kildare.
He assumes his new role as Musgrave gears up to launch eight SuperValu franchised stores in the Irish Republic this year, five of them in Dublin. The move offsets the recent closure of three SuperValu branded stores by franchisee Roches Stores. There are currently more than 400 SuperValu Centra stores in the Irish Republic.
Nason is to become chief executive of Dublin department store Arnotts, replacing Seamus Duignan, who has retired.
