Two young Italians, Marco Torri and Giovanni Baldino, along with business partner Marino Roberto, are behind this Mayfair restaurant which serves up modern Italian dishes from across the country.
Torri most recently worked at The Greyhound in Battersea, while Baldino was previously restaurant manager at Locanda Locatelli.
The menu is a veritable cook's tour of Italy, with dishes such as home-cured duck breast with rocket, pea shoots and Sardinian bread; grilled octopus with a salad of carrot, ginger and Sarawak pepper; ravioli filled with taleggio and aubergine; pan-fried fillet of sea bass with chickpea sauce and sautéed spinach; free-range Italian chicken cooked 'sous vide' with grilled vegetables. Puddings include a Domori chocolate tart with bitter almond sauce. Ingredients are sourced from Italy where possible, and mozzarella is flown in daily .
The walls of the 55-cover restaurant are covered in highly polished ebony and gold carved wood. It also features oak flooring, cream and brown leather seating and a hand-made Murano chandelier.
You should expect to spend around £45 per head.
