Rebecca and Daniel Blackstone play kitchen and front-of-house roles respectively. She's a Leith-trained, ex-Delia Smith food stylist; he's an experienced manager whose CV includes La Tante Claire and Chez Bruce. The pair met under Anton Mosimann. Their latest venture, Blackstones Restaurant, follows the success of Blackstones Kitchen, a takeaway just over the way on a cobbled street in the heart of Bath.

The restaurant offers all-day dining from a menu featuring only the best local and British ingredients: Blackstones Stuffed Breakfast Tomatoes on Spelt Toast; Broad Bean and Ricotta Ravioli with Pecorino and Thyme Butter; Cornish Dressed Crab with Chilli, Lime and Mango Salsa; Catalan-style Salt Pork Belly with Harissa; Blackberry, Apple and Lemon Cobbler.

The décor boasts a vibrant palette of candy pinks and greens, stripped wooden floors and refectory tables, set in an elegant three-storey Georgian town house. The restaurant can handle 38 covers on the ground floor; 28 covers on the first floor; and two private rooms, each seating 12.
