Hotel Chocolat is opening a restaurant in London’s Borough Market next month - to be followed by another in Leeds.
Named Rabot 1745 after the chocolatier’s cocoa plantation in St Lucia the restaurant will be designed in the style of a West Indian plantation house.
Building on the success of its Boucan restaurant in St Lucia, it will serve up a range of contemporary dishes created by chef Jon Bentham, such as guinea fowl, aubergine and cocoa and Carpaccio rabot.
Hotel Chocolat will also roast cocoa beans on site and make small batches of chocolate.
The chocolatier said the Leeds restaurant would offer a more casual dining experience.
