This issue of Promotrack focuses on the household category, which is in fifth place in the overall branded chart this week.
Activity has been tracked over the previous four weeks (from 22 July) and includes the data for this week.
The household category started at 14th place overall in the 22 July issue, moving to 13th place, and then for the previous two issues it has been in sixth place.
This week's top five for household are the Finish, Flash and Persil brands, all with 13%, and Cif and Daz, with 11% each.
The Finish brand has been in the household top ten chart for four of the past five weeks and has been top for the past two. Promotional offers have included its Finish dishwasher cleaner 250ml, dishwasher freshener and Quantum tablets. The brand has used different mechanics in each retailer, with save offers in Sainsbury's, buy-one-get-one-free in Tesco and 50% extra free in Morrisons.
Flash has been in the top five of the household category chart each week. This week the brand has offers across four retailers, which include All Purpose Spray, All Purpose Wipes, Bathroom Spray in Asda with the save mechanic, Flash Kitchen
de-greaser with 50% free in Morrisons, Flash All Purpose Liquid one-litre at 2 for £2 in Somerfield and Flash Power mop refills as a bogof in Tesco.
Persil was only on promotion in two of the retailers, but had multiple offers across its range and had more than one featured space allocated. Offers included Persil Gel Tablets 40-pack and Persil Liquid 1.5-litre, both with the save mechanic in Sainsbury's, and Persil washing up liquid 500ml (3 for 2) and Persil tablets with a 'buy 2 save £1' offer.
Cif's range of offers included Cif Power Cream 500ml in both Asda and Somerfield at 2 for £2, Cif Oxy Wipes in Tesco with bogof and 50% extra free on its sprays in Morrisons.
Daz powder and tablets were featured in Morrisons and Asda with extra free, save and '2 for £1' offers.
