Celebrity chef and food writer Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall is launching a range of organic ketchups.
The range, which will launch under his well-known River Cottage brand, comprises five flavours – Squash, Tomato, Mushroom, Rhubarb and Beetroot – developed in partnership with organic veg stock producer 9 Meals From Anarchy.
They will roll into the River Cottage Kitchen & Store and 9 Meals From Anarchy’s webstore this month (rsp: £3.50/250ml).
Squash, Tomato and Beetroot will also hit shelves in Waitrose on 16 October.
The “carefully spiced” sauces contained less than 10% sugar and were inspired by the recipes created at River Cottage HQ, said the brand.
Fearnley-Whittingstall said he had “always loved a good ketchup” and was “excited to bring the distinctive, lively flavours of our River Cottage recipes into a market which has become bland and over-sweetened down the years”.
“It’s a collection that can bring some lovely rich, tangy flavours to your table on a daily basis.”
Fearnley-Whittingstall previously teamed up with Equinox to launch his own range of kombuchas under the River Cottage brand in September 2020.
