Julia Bradbury x Hunter & Gather web

Julia Bradbury stars in a video promoting Hunter & Gather 100% avocado oil mayonnaise

Hunter & Gather has signed up TV presenter Julia Bradbury in an exclusive partnership as a brand ambassador to promote its range of ‘ancestrally inspired’ healthier foods.

Bradbury, who is also an author, campaigner and nature advocate, will front a six-figure marketing campaign for the brand across Meta, YouTube and TikTok.

The initial 12-month partnership includes a launch campaign, with Bradbury focusing on hydration, kitchen staples and collagen in a set of videos and imagery for Hunter & Gather’s various channels, including a presence across the website and social media.

Additionally, Bradbury will help scale awareness of Hunter & Gather’s presence in retail, where it has nationwide listings with Tesco, Ocado and Holland & Barrett, through collaboration and dual activation with strategic partners.

“We’re delighted to welcome Julia Bradbury to the Hunter & Gather family,” said marketing director Thom Nowell. “Julia’s health and lifestyle transformation mirror the very philosophy that drives our brand. Our products are created from the understanding that optimal wellbeing comes from reconnecting with ancestral wisdom while embracing modern knowledge, precisely the path Julia has walked.

“Her emphasis on real food, natural movement and mindful living perfectly aligns with our commitment to a lifestyle that includes food and supplements free from refined sugars, inflammatory seed oils and artificial ingredients.”

Bradbury has been on television since the 1990s and is best known for presenting Countryfile and a number of walking programmes, including Wainwright Walks for the BBC.

She is also an advocate for health and wellness, particularly following her breast cancer diagnosis in 2021. She underwent a mastectomy and has since focused on raising awareness about cancer recovery, stress management and healthy living.

“When I was diagnosed with breast cancer, my whole world stopped,” Bradbury said. “Then I started to research, explore, and take control of my health. Nature’s always been important in my life, but it became my anchor.

“I realised that if I take care of what I put into my body, then I’ll be able to live the life I want to for longer. And that’s when I discovered Hunter & Gather.”

Amy Moring and Jeff Webster launched Hunter & Gather in 2017 to provide an alternative to highly processed sauces and condiments sold in supermarkets.

Its flagship product is a mayonnaise made using avocado oil, which gained the business its first major supermarket listing in Tesco in 2024. The company is also part of Tesco’s accelerator programme.

Over the years, the range has expanded to include oils, dressings and sauces, as well as bovine and marine collagen supplements, with the most recent additions being electrolyte powders and beef tallow cooking fat.

The B Corp appeared in the 2024 Alantra Fast 50, ranking in the top 20 with two-year average growth of 52% and an annual turnover of £11m.
