Ice Kitchen has secured an exclusive deal with South Korean food brand and distributor Health Balance.
The deal propels eight of the London ice lolly brand’s most popular lollies in to the South Korean market, with Health Balance promoting them on TV home shopping channel GS Shop.
The move was “a great opportunity for us to get the Ice Kitchen brand the international recognition it deserves”, said co-founder of Ice Kitchen Cesar Roden. “We relished the challenge of fulfilling one of the biggest orders in our history. We’re confident that this first step into the Asian market will be the beginning of an exciting new chapter for Ice Kitchen.”
Ice Kitchen would fit in with the growing South Korean demand “for treats that are both healthy and delicious”, added Health Balance’s trade overseas sales coordinator Aldo Mata. “We’re excited to work with a London producer dedicated to unique flavours, homemade ice cream and only using the finest fresh fruits and herbs.”
This is the latest move in an international expansion plan for Ice Kitchen, having secured partners in Ireland, Belgium, Finland and the Netherlands.
