Iceland is offering NHS workers 10% off their shopping in stores as a thank you for their work over the past 12 months.

The discount is available until 2 May to those who present an NHS ID card at checkouts, in Iceland and The Food Warehouse stores.

Iceland’s is the latest in a number of special offers for NHS staff by major grocers during the pandemic. Morrisons ran a similar 10% discount offer from April to the end of September last year. 

Iceland MD Richard Walker announced the discount on Twitter, saying: “As a thank you to our brilliant NHS”.

An Iceland spokeswoman said: “The discount will be available across all Iceland and the Food Warehouse food and drink in store so NHS workers can stock up on family favourites or fill their freezers with a few treats to see them through their shifts.”
