Iceland has partnered with Mancunian comedian Jason Manford to back his weekly ‘virtual’ stand-up show.
The show is livestreamed by host Manford and guest comedians, each in their homes, at 8pm every Thursday.
Tickets cost from £5 but the event also allows people unable to afford the price to apply for a free one. Iceland is contributing to ticket donations to be redistributed.
The partnership comes after Manford tried his hand at being an Iceland delivery driver. The comedian delivered to shopping to Iceland customers on 15 June, after tweeting about being rejected for a job at Tesco.
Announcing the new partnership online, Iceland said Manford was also offering free tickets to the virtual shows to Iceland staff.
Tickets are available at theweeklystandup.co.uk.
