Iceland has launched a new CD-Rom enabling customers to compile home shopping orders offline without running up a large phone bill.
The CD-Rom, which has been distributed to over 230 stores after a series of successful pilots, is proven to boost average basket size as customers can shop without worrying about the phone bill, said head of home shopping Lee Pinnington.
“The main advantage of shopping offline is that you have time to browse.
“The CD-Rom also speeds up the shopping experience as customers are not waiting for web pages to download - a major source of frustration for those without broadband,” he added.
