Iceland said it was a “no-brainer” to run the veg sale again following its success at Christmas

Iceland is slashing the price of fresh and frozen veg bought online to 1p for Easter.

All frozen and fresh veg that would normally cost £1 or under, such as a kilo of onions, will instead be 1p from 11 April until 11pm on 14 April.

It follows a similar 1p veg sale by Iceland at Christmas.

To claim the discount, shoppers need to enter the code ‘ICE1VEG’ when checking out at Iceland.co.uk.

“Our 1p vegetable sale was so popular at Christmas, especially when so many other supermarkets hike up the prices of their roast ingredients, that we decided this was a no-brainer to run it again this Easter,” said Iceland MD Richard Walker.

“If we can help people who are feeling the pinch right now to save a few vital pennies while enjoying the same amazing quality of vegetables, then we’ll have done our job of being the supermarket that shoppers can rely on.”
