IGD has recruited the MBS Group to help find its new chief executive to replace Joanne Denney-Finch when she leaves in September.
Denney-Finch announced in March that she would be stepping down after more than 20 years of leading the organisation, and IGD’s trustees have been looking for a replacement since her resignation.
At the time of the announcement, Denney-Finch, who was awarded an OBE for her services to the food and grocery trade in 2001, outlined her desire to explore other opportunities in her professional and personal life.
The search for Denney-Finch’s successor is being led by MBS’ Elliot Goldstein, who leads the Consumer Products and Retail practices, and is being overseen by IGD’s board of trustees.
“We look forward to partnering with the MBS Group as we commence our search for a new IGD chief executive,” said Jill Ross, global vice-president of category and channel development at Unilever and chairman of IGD’s board of trustees.
“We feel confident that their good understanding of IGD, coupled with their expertise in food and grocery, will ensure a successful recruitment process.”
