Sir; Your Opinion column said it all. Tesco's campaign to save pounds and ounces must go down as one of the smartest stunts ever seen in British grocery. Their rivals must be livid for not thinking of it themselves.
Tesco's founder the late Sir Jack Cohen was adept at gaining column inches in the newspapers and now Terry Leahy is carrying on that great tradition.
