Falling out

Sweet success
Confectionery company Lees Foods' full-year pre-tax profit to December 31 rose 21% to £613,916, on sales up 5% at £13.4m. Raymond Miquel, chairman and MD of Lees Foods, said: "These figures are satisfactory considering the extremely competitive nature of our market and the substantial cost increases which we have had to absorb." He added that the company was looking at acquisitions.
RHM expectations
RHM has revealed it expects its full-year results to be in line with expectations. In a trading update, the food manufacturer said it predicted a 2% increase in full-year turnover. Its bread bakeries division had performed well, its culinary brands had delivered increased sales growth and it had a much improved financial performance in cakes.
Icy integration
Ice cream manufacturer Hill Station's integration of Granelli McDermott and Loseley Dairy Ice Cream is on track, group MD Charles Hall has said. He added the company had ceased production at its site in Calne, Wiltshire, and all production had been transferred to its site at Cwmbran, Wales.
Dual branding
Drinks retailer Bargain Booze has linked up with Sussex-based video rental store chain Video Box. The video company's first store in Hove now has combined branding to include Bargain Booze.
