Sangs sold for £10m
Scottish soft drinks company Sangs has been sold for £10m to business partners Kenny Webster, a former AG Barr sales manager, and Andy Anderson, MD of forecourt operator Calanike Retailing.
Wholesale additions
The Sterling Supergroup has added two new wholesale members - MKG Food Products and David Hughes Foodservice. The buying group will now command total sales of £550m from 53 members.
Cheaper cuppa
A cup of tea costs 75% less than 30 years ago, experts claim. An analysis showed that, in 1977, the average gross weekly wage of £68.70 would have bought 6,870 tea bags, but today's average of £447 can buy 45,000 tea bags.
