Waitrose lists caviar
Waitrose started stocking caviar again last month, 10 years after it removed the product amid concerns over dwindling sturgeon numbers. It says its new caviar is from sustainable sources.
Vaccine order hailed
The NFU has praised Defra's announcement of a firm order for Intervet to supply 22.5 million doses of bluetongue vaccine. It is hoped the vaccine will be available as early as next summer, when midge activity is expected to reach significant levels.
NFU welcomes ban
The NFU has welcomed the EU's partial ban on Brazilian beef. SCoFCAH agreed to ban all beef imports from Brazil, apart from those from EU-approved holdings.
