Two former Marks and Spencer buyers will open their first Indian fast food outlet, in Wardour Street, London, on Monday (January 27).
The new 700 sq ft shop will have a tandoori oven to bake fresh naan bread and offer a range of more than 100 contemporary Indian foods and snacks, including a range of tiffin boxes traditional Indian lunch boxes containing three dishes.
Tiffinbites' founders, Jamal Hirani and Jonathan Marks, trained and worked together at M&S for six years and Hirani said Tiffinbites was based on M&S principles. "They teach you retail is detail. Like M&S we have sourced the best suppliers and have ensured we offer a high quality product throughout," said Hirani.
Wardour Street will be the first of 52 shops planned over the next five years. The second is due to open in The Strand in a fortnight.
