Homecare supplier Ineos Hygienics has unveiled an expansion into personal care, launching the 15-strong Skin Science range.
It comprised “gender-neutral, plant-powered” deodorant, bodywash and handwash “designed to help everyone achieve peak performance, every day”, said the brand. The lineup would “cater to the increasing demand for high-performance, sustainable personal care products in the online marketplace”.
Developed and manufactured in the UK, all lines were formulated with the new, proprietary SkinActiv Cooling Tech, which provided “impactful all-day and all-night freshness and protection”, the brand added. Skin Science combined “multiple benefits into one high-performance formula, delivering unbeatable odour and sweat protection, skin moisturisation, infused with Ineos fragrance technology”.
The deodorant is available in mist spray, aerosol, and refillable roll-on formats. Variants are Mandarin & Sandalwood, Geranium & Mint, and White Orris & Cherry.
The same fragrances make up the Skin Science bodywash offer, alongside a sensitive skin option. All boast a formula enriched with panthenol, known as pro-vitamin B5, to moisturise and protect skin.
Panthenol is also in the new antibacterial handwash, which comprises Mandarin & Sandalwood, Geranium & Mint, and White Orris & Cherry, plus a sensitive skin line.
Skin Science (rsps: £3.50-£4) is available now via Amazon and Ocado. It will roll into Tesco next month.
“This launch represents a pivotal step for Ineos Hygienics as we bring the same science-led approach that revolutionised household hygiene into personal care,” said Rory Tait, Ineos Hygienics COO. “We believe that science can unlock peak performance in all aspects of life, and Skin Science delivers unmatched performance and value while being sustainable, unisex, and cruelty-free.”
The brand’s expansion into personal hygiene follows similar moves by other homecare players. Astonish and Smol both have burgeoning beauty portfolios.
