Innis & Gunn oak aged beer took the supreme champion title in the 2004 International Beer and Cider Competition organised by The Grocer’s sister publication Off Licence News.
The beer scooped four awards - a first in the competition which attracted more than 360 entries from all over the world. Every category winner secured a promotional listing in Safeway and the supreme champion will also go into Wetherspoons pubs.
OLN editor Graham Holter said: “The winner is truly innovative. The beer speaks for itself, the packaging is excellent and the concept is genuinely unique.”
