The Argentine market has seen several new product developments recently. While Mastellone has launched Serecol con Fitoesteroles, a UHT milk enriched with phytosterols, Nestlé has launched Abra Cadabra, a new children's ice cream which colours the tongue when eaten. Ingman Foods of Finland has launched Maito, a milk containing melatonin, which aids sleep. This milk comes from cows that have been milked at night so their milk contains more of this substance. Still in Finland, consumers can now enjoy the taste of a brioche in a yogurt thanks to Valio. The dairy company has launched a brioche-flavoured yogurt which also contains cinnamon sauce, wheat fibres and a vanilla flavouring. While the Finnish combine dairy with bakery products, the Japanese mix vegetables with yogurts. Runa has launched Fruits Fumi Tomato, a tomato-flavoured frozen yogurt which contains tomato pieces and pineapple juice. Japanese consumers are exploiting the benefits of tomato at the moment. Another company to use tomatoes as a main ingredient is Kagome, which has launched Marugoto Tomato. This tomato juice is salt-free and has been launched nationally after test marketing a new recipe. Each pack is made with five ripe Mediterranean tomatoes, and has no added salt, sugar, colourings or preservatives. The race for the purest chocolate bar has ended with Excellence Noirissime from Lindt of Switzerland. With 99%, this chocolate bar has the highest percentage of cocoa content on the market. The cocoa content of chocolate has become a quality standard and tends to reassure consumers about the product. It is reported that 99% is the maximum content that a confectionery would be allowed to achieve, as a 100% chocolate bar could not be called chocolate, because it would be pure paste. Across the Atlantic, in Quebec, Artel has introduced Pogo. These new snack sausages are breaded sausages on sticks so they can be eaten as a snack without getting the hands dirty. They are targeted primarily at children, but are also expected to find favour with adults as a fun food. {{MARKETING - P&P }}
