IPC Magazines has announced a raft of promotional activity for some of its women's, teen and parenting titles.
Glossy monthly Woman's Journal has teamed up with publisher Penguin for a special free gift for readers.
Covermounted to its March issue is a free novel, End of the Affair, by Graham Green. Worth £5.99, the book's appearance with the magazine coincides with the release of the film of the same name which stars Ralph Fiennes and Julia-Anna Moore. The March issue of Woman's Journal will go on sale on Tuesday February 8 and will be priced £2.50.
Meanwhile IPC says fortnightly teen magazine Mizz will be carrying a Valentine's Day gift a covermounted stamper pen. Readers will have the choice of a red or pink pen with either a heart or lips stamper which the publishers say are perfect for writing Valentines cards. On sale February 9, Mizz is priced £1.30.
The March issue of Country Homes and Interiors will also have added value in the form of a free bagged copy of 25 Beautiful Kitchens magazine. This title was first published in August 1999, priced £2.60. Country Homes & Interiors will go on sale on February 10, priced £2.60.
Finally IPC's Southbank company has announced a covermounted gift for its Practical Parenting magazine.
Having teamed up with publishers My World, Practical Parenting is carrying a free book with its March issue, now on sale and priced £2.
Entitled Our New Baby, the glossy paperback aims to help brothers and sisters come to terms with the arrival of a new baby.
