Westons Cider has promoted Roger Jackson to the new role of commercial director.
Jackson is currently director of sales and marketing, heading a team of 22. He joined nine years ago as UK sales manager, progressing to take responsibility for marketing and export.
Jackson has worked in the drinks trade since 1978 after joining Bulmers Cider as a salesman, progressing to the role of national sales training manager. In 1987 he joined Vine Products & Whiteways as national field sales manager. VPW became The Gaymer Group and then Matthew Clark Gaymer, with Jackson rising to the position of sales controller.
In 1995 Jackson took up the position of national account controller at Molson Breweries of Canada, where he oversaw Molson’s largest UK customer during the transition of the brewing rights for Molson Special Dry from Courage to Scottish & Newcastle.
