Daniel Craig is bringing his portrayal of James Bond to a Heineken ad for the first time tonight with the launch of a new TV and online push.
The television ad, which breaks on ITV,C4, Freeview and Sky, features a series of subtle nods towards previous films and has appearances from Craig and Bérénice Marlohe, the Bond girl in upcoming movie Skyfall.
Heineken has also created an online interactive campaign, which kicked off earlier this week. The online action begins where the TV advert leaves off, with Marlohe inviting players to ‘Crack the Case’ and take on some of 007’s deadliest adversaries.
“The creativity and progressiveness of the Heineken brand, combined with the legendary James Bond franchise, will provide viewers with high entertainment values,” said Heineken chief commercial officer Alexis Nasard.
‘Crack the Case’ was created by advertising agency Wieden & Kennedy Amsterdam, while the TV ad was directed by Matthijs Van Heijningen Jnr, who helmed the 2011 prequel to classic 80s horror movie The Thing.
Skyfall, the 23rd Bond movie, is released in the UK on 26 October.
