Conoco is taking forecourt retailing into a new league in Hungary with its "new generation" Jiffy convenience stores.
Jiffy is a 200 sq m mini supermarket with a built in café and bakery section. The first Conoco /Jet Jiffy branded station opened this week on the M3 highway between Mogyorod and Godollo.
Conoco's European external affairs manager Ian Foster said: "It's a new concept. A petrol station selling hot, freshly baked bread from a local bakery and somewhere to sit down and chat.
"Hungarian drivers like to stop for a proper rest and a coffee."
The 32 other Conoco stations will be upgraded to the Jiffy format.
