Jimmy’s is moving its Original and Mocha iced coffee SKUs into cans as it makes its Co-op debut.
The 250ml can format will echo the two-tone style of its flat white cans, in line with the rebrand in January last year.
It said the move from Tetra Pak cartons to “infinitely recyclable” cans was “crucial” for the brand to move away from plastic and towards a more sustainable packaging option.
It follows the Oat and Skinny iced coffees moving to a canned flat white format last year, and forms part of the brand’s commitment to be plastic-free by the end of this year.
The Original and Mocha cans will hit 1,500 Co-op stores from 8 February, marking the first time Jimmy’s has been listed at the convenience retailer.
Co-founder Suzie Owen said the listing had been “one of my biggest ambitions since starting Jimmy’s”, and that the retailer was “the perfect fit for an ice-cold Jimmy’s”.
The launch will be supported by a digital sampling campaign, whereby customers can benefit from vouchers for a free can of Jimmy’s Iced Coffee from their local Co-op via opting in on the brand’s website, in addition to further activity in-store.
