JJ Food Service has launched its first credit card for caterers.
The wholesaler said its Mastercard, with an upper limit of £25,000 and 37 days interest-free credit, would help customers manage cashflow.
“We understand how hard it can be for independent caterers to manage cashflow. The Mastercard can be used to pay for anything from petrol and utilities to food and drink supplies. We invite all our customers to apply for the card,” said JJ Food Service CEO Mustafa Kiamil.
Customers can add the card on to their online account or use it in-store. Other benefits include 0% interest if the account is paid in full each month and no annual or monthly fees.
“Opening a trade account can be difficult if you have minimal trading history”, said JJ Food Service group general manager Terry Larkin.
“That’s why the online application process considers many other unique factors.”
More than 90% of customers receive a decision within 30 seconds of completing the online form and the application process does not affect the customer’s credit score, said JJ.
The card can be used anywhere displaying the Mastercard logo.
