JJ Foodservice is expanding its Mix & Save promotion to offer customers more flexibility when buying items in bulk.

The offer currently includes branded drinks and fresh fruit and vegetables, and will expand significantly in 2025 according to the wholesaler.

JJ launched the promo so customers could take advantage of mix and match deals similar to those in retail, creating savings without having to buy a large quantity of one item.

The wholesaler first launched the promotion in November with a selection of P&G Professional cleaning products. It has added branded lines from Britvic and Coca-Cola since.

To further support hospitality customers, the wholesaler is also launching a new commercial space called The Kitchen at its Enfield headquarters.

The new concept will showcase cost-saving products and innovations, and boost customer interaction with JJ’s own brand range, it said.

According to a customer survey led by the wholesaler and based on feedback from 249 customers, over two-thirds (74%) of independent restaurants want help with cost-saving ideas.

The survey also found 35% are looking to diversify menus, and 36% are planning to open new sites in 2025.

“2025 is shaping up to be an exciting year for the independent restaurant and takeaway sector, particularly in London,” said JJ Foodservice chief sales officer Baris Kacar.

“We know value and menu innovation are key for our customers, and we’re committed to supporting them with solutions like Mix & Save and inspiration through The Kitchen.”

The Kitchen will open in early 2025 and is part of JJ Foodservice’s initiatives to keep supporting hospitality and restaurateurs.
