JJ Foodservice is taking a leaf out of the supermarkets’ books with the launch of a new mix and match promotion.
Rather than customers having to buy a large quantity of one item in order to access discounts, they are now able to take advantage of deals by buying from a range of eligible products.
The wholesaler offers keener prices depending on how much customers order. Tier one prices apply for purchases of less than five items, tier two prices kick in for purchases between five and 19 while customers buying 20 or more items benefit from tier three prices.
However, rather than having to bulk buy the same item, the new Mix & Save deal works across a variety of promotional lines. JJ is launching the offer across the full P&G Professional range, meaning customers can reach the five or 20 case barriers by shopping a wider range of brands in Fairy, Flash, Lemor and Ariel.
“Customers want flexibility, so we’re giving them the power to choose how they save,” said JJ Chief Sales Officer, Baris Kacar. “Unlike traditional wholesale promotions, Mix & Save lets them save without having to buy multiple quantities of the same product. This is a common approach in retail, but it’s a game-changer in wholesale.
“We’re excited to kick things off with P&G Professional products and plan to expand to other categories based on customer demand and feedback.”
