JJ Foodservice plans to grow its product range from 3,000 to 5,000 lines in the next two years to keep up with eating-out market trends set to rebound towards 2027.
Alongside expanding its current offer by 67%, JJ wants to expand its customer base with additional London branches and targeted acquisitions.
Earlier this year, the wholesaler acquired Gatelands Supplies as part of its strategic focus on emerging markets, in particular Korean, Thai and Japanese.
An increased focus on new markets would give the wholesaler a “stronger market influence”, said chief operating officer Kaan Hendekli.
Speaking at a supplier conference last week, chief product officer Sezer Ozkul added: “With inflation easing, consumer confidence is beginning to return after two years of belt-tightening. The eating-out market is finally ready for a comeback.
“The world food Asia market is one of the most exciting trends in foodservice. We’re expanding our range to meet demand for Asian fusion foods, serving restaurant customers who expect high-quality products and exceptional service.”
JJ also reported a 15% increase in its advance order marketplace, praised by COO Hendekli for “boosting both visibility and sales”.
“We’re committed to expanding our physical presence with new branches in London, presenting exciting growth opportunities for suppliers,” Hendekli said.
