Halewood-owned vodka brand JJ Whitley has launched a quartet of 5% abv ready-to-drink cans.
They are: Vodka Lime & Soda, Blue Raspberry Vodka & Lemonade, London Dry Gin & Tonic and Pink Gin & Lemonade (rsp: £1.99/330ml).
The “innovative product range” would help retailers tap into “significant sales opportunity”, claimed the brand.
Additionally, the inclusion of Blue Raspberry Vodka and Pink Gin flavours would bring “additional flavour diversity into RTDs” and drive “further recruitment into the category”, said Halewood marketing director James Stocker.
“We’re confident that these will be a big hit with consumers, particularly during the summer months as convenient, on-the-go formats are key.”
It comes after Halewood launched a trio of RTDs under its rum brand Dead Man’s Fingers in June.
Halewood isn’t the only drinks supplier hoping to capitalise on a move to convenient formats, however.
Take Smirnoff, which poured its Raspberry Crush vodka into RTD cans in March; or Absolut, which debuted a canned passionfruit martini cocktail in the same month.
