Jo Wrate has been promoted to trading controller for food and drink at Poundland.

Wrate joined the discounter in 2008 and has held a number of buying positions with the company. She has also worked for Kerry Foods and Müller dairy UK.

Wrate replaces Pradipta Ganguly who has “left to pursue other opportunities”, according to a spokeswoman. Ganguly joined in March 2013 from Tesco where he was a buying manager.
