Selby takes over Drax
A new joint venture between Hedon Salads and Glinwell, a St Albans based growing and distribution group, has taken on Drax Nursery from English Village Salads, part of Geest.
The deal does not include the marketing business.
The 35 acre site pioneered the use of reject heat from a nearby power station in the mid 80s.
The new company called Selby Salads will switch from tomato production to peppers and aubergines, starting planting in January.
