Coca-Cola European Partners has promoted José Antonio Echeverría to chief customer service and supply chain officer.
He replaces Ron Lewis, who is leaving the business to join packaging company Ball Corporation.
CCEP said Echeverría was an experienced business and operations leader.
He has worked more than 20 years for international consumer goods companies.
He has been a part of Coca-Cola since 2005, and in that time, has played a key role in bottling integration in Iberia and the formation of CCEP’s supply chain organisation.
Echeverría has been VP of strategy and transformational projects for the Iberian business unit, and VP, strategy and co-ordination for supply chain across CCEP.
He previously worked with household products company Procter & Gamble and food company Danone.
Away from work he is a keen runner and has completed nearly 40 marathons. He volunteers in his local community as part of CCEP-sponsored programme.
“José Antonio will lead customer service and supply hhain, which plays a vital role in ensuring we deliver a superior experience for all our customers,” said CEO of Coca-Cola European Partners Damian Gammell. “This is also integral to delivering our vision of an expanded portfolio of great drinks, and our commitment to sustainable packaging.”
