Former Sainsbury commercial business unit director Andrew Mitcham has joined c-store chain Alldays as its trading and marketing director.
Mitcham, with 25 years' retail experience, replaces Tim Chalk, who has left to pursue his career elsewhere.
The move reunites Mitcham with Alldays' new managing director David Clapham, with whom he worked during the rejuvenation of Savacentre.
Mitcham said: "Alldays has the potential to be a respected brand. My task is to redefine the offer and restore our fortunes.
Chalk was recruited from Tesco in February 1999 in a move hailed at the time as a "major coup" for Alldays.
