Tobacco supplier JTI has launched a new app to help retailers keep on top of regulatory changes and manage stock.
Launched this week, the JTI Advance app, has been timed to support retailers ahead of the changes to the sector taking place as a result of the EU Tobacco Products Directive, which will outlaw the sale of smaller packs and flavoured tobacco from next May.
The app features a barcode scanner and fingerprint sign-in, a shopping list, a margin calculator and training modules.
“Forty-five per cent of JTI Advance website users access the site through their phones,” said JTI digital marketing manager Peter Kelleher, “so we have put key functionality of the site and more on the app.”
