Future Publishing is launching a one-off in-depth guide to new technologies in the home, called Digital Home. On sale December 4, it is published by Future's new digital division, Future Digital. Cover price is £3.50 and distribution by Seymour.

Domination
Supermarkets are dominating sales in the weekly magazine market, according to Seymour's October market trends report. It says sub-segments such as Women's Interest ­ Women's Weeklies' and TV Listings ­ Radio & TV Guides' are doing particularly well in the multiples, with supermarkets claiming a 40.6% share of retail sales value for TV Listings ­ Radio & TV Guides and 31.2% for Women's Interest - Women's Weeklies. But these sectors tend to have low cover prices ­ and supermarkets fare less well with high coverprice titles such as Leisure Interests, General Interest and Sport, of which they hold an 11%-12% share of rsv. Supermarkets have the lowest estimated average cover price for regular frequency mags by retail channel,at £1.25, with independents at £1.32.

Changing gear
BBC Top Gear magazine has a new look for its December issue, on sale October 30. Changes include a 20-page Front End section of news, sport and humour plus views from Jeremy Clarkson. Distribution is by Frontline.
