Kellogg is continuing its campaign to dominate the fruit snacks market with the arrival of Screamin’ Fruit Spurters.
The fruit shapes, which come in single and multipack bags of assorted orange, strawberry, blackcurrant and apple varieties, have liquid centres and are the cereals giant’s third foray into the market.
The new arrival is set to sit in the cereals aisle alongside its predecessors Real Fruit Winders - launched in 2001 and to be rebranded under the Fruit banner - and Screamin’ Fruit Squidgers, introduced this year.
UK sales director Kevin Jones said: “Hopes are high for our third venture which we believe offers retailers a dynamic new sales opportunity.”
Instore promotions for are scheduled for next month.
The newcomers, which contain one third fruit juice, will retail at 35p for a single bag and £1.79 for a six-bag multipack.
