Kellogg’s is boosting its Crunchy Nut range with a duo of nut butter snack bars.
The new Nut Butter Bars are available in two flavours: Cocoa & Hazelnut and Almond (rsp: £1.30/45g).
Marrying the creamy softness of nut butter with the delightful crunch of whole roasted nuts and chocolate, the new Nut Butter Bars offered a “taste sensation”, claimed Kellogg’s.
They are made with 40% nuts and real nut butter. Billed as “the perfect treat for on-the-go snacking”, they are also gluten-free, contain no palm oil and no artificial colours or preservatives.
They have rolled out into the convenience sector, with a launch in The Co-op to come.
The move would help Kellogg’s tap the ever-growing popularity of nut butter within the snacking category, it said.
Kellogg’s UK&I senior brand activation manager Susan Heinz said she was “confident” fans of Crunchy Nut “will love this delicious snack”.
“Knowing the popularity of the cereal, launching Crunchy Nut Nut Butter Bars allows us to meet a wider range of consumer occasions and tap into the growing trend of nut butter,” she said.
The move comes after Kellogg’s recently moved its WK Kellogg by Kids brand into snack bars. They rolled out in January in two flavours: Orange & Carrot and Strawberry, Raspberry & Beetroot.
