Kerryfresh, the direct-to-store van sales operation of Kerry Foods, looks set to be acquired as part of a management buyout.
Staff were told of the move this week, though the deal is understood to have not concluded yet.
Kerry Group has been reviewing its business and in its half-year results last summer said restructuring of its direct-to-store services was “ongoing.” In its full-year results last February, it said an ongoing restructuring programme in its consumer foods division had impacted sales, “in particular direct-to-store services”.
Kerryfresh has more than 300 vans delivering over 400 products to indies, including brands such as Wall’s, Rustlers and Urban Eat.
