Kimberly-Clark has rejigged its European marketing team, just weeks after the fmcg giant announced plans to stop manufacturing and selling its core Huggies nappy range in Europe.
As part of the restructure, director of European strategic development Andy Pawson has been promoted to vice president of European brands. His previous roles include heading the company’s European personal care and Central European businesses, as well as marketing director for baby & child care and adult & feminine care.
He will replace interim head of European brands Andy Kistler, who has left the company.
Cristina Garcia, European marketing manager for diapers, becomes European category lead for child care & wipes, while Karel Van Der Mandele joins Kimberly-Clark from Booz & Company as European category lead for rolled tissue, responsible for brand strategy for Andrex in the UK & Ireland and Scottex, Page and Hackle in Continental Europe.
Meanwhile, design director for tissue brands, Christine Mau, becomes European design director. Marketing director for toilet tissue, Jon White, has left the company.
“Driving brand equity and creating top line growth is the key to the success of our strategic plan,” said Kim Underhill, president for Kimberly-Clark Consumer Europe.
“The changes will enable a greater focus for growth in the facials, toilet tissue and the baby & child care categories and greater synergy with global marketing.”
