Self-styled sports nutrition brand Kings Biltong has been acquired by New World Foods (Europe) for an undisclosed sum.
Following the deal, production of the dried beef snack will be integrated into New World Foods’ York HQ, where it would benefit from state-of-the-art facilities and “significantly grow” its current business output, said Kings Biltong co-founder and director Charlie Simpson-Daniel, who will continue to work on the brand.
The aim was to secure nationwide listings with the major supermarkets, he added. Kings Biltong joins New World Foods’ UK portfolio of meat snacks, including Mariani beef jerky and Bare Earth biltong.
