Kingsland Drinks has appointed Andy Henderson as operations director.
In the role – which has been created following the company’s move to employee-owned status – Henderson will be responsible for its factory operations, technical and supply chain functions.
Shareholders Michael Forde and Mark Dixon will hand over their responsibilities to Henderson before transitioning into advisory roles in the business.
Henderson joins Kingsland from his current role as supply chain manager for startup Ineos Hygienics.
He brings over 20 years of experience to Kingsland, having worked in senior operations and supply chain positions at the likes of Coca-Cola European Partners, HJ Heinz and various SMEs.
Henderson would “play a pivotal role in building on the business’s reputation as a trusted, strong, and stable player in the UK drinks trade”, said Kingsland.
Kingsland Drinks MD Ed Baker said the business had “transformed in recent years” to one that supported “all aspects of the wine, spirits and low & no sector”.
“Combined with our newly established status as employee-owned, this role will ensure the best co-ordinated service delivery to our customers.”
Henderson’s “combination of startup and big firm operations experience will play a crucial part in our journey to the next level”, Baker added.
