Kirsty’s has launched a new food-to-go range to offer greater catering options for customers’ dietary needs.
The free-from ready meal brand has partnered with premium sandwich manufacturer and healthcare food production specialist Raynor Foods to create the new range.
It will feature a BLT that is both gluten-free and nut-free, a gluten, dairy and nut-free Mexican salad bowl and salt & pepper chilli wrap, and gluten and nut-free toasties designed for coffee shops.
The brand said it wanted to “shake up” the free-from category as food-to-go options became increasingly popular with consumers.
Kirsty’s new range will be available for distribution through Raynor Foods.
Raynor has built a specially designed, dedicated manufacturing facility to provide optimal conditions for free-from production.
“Our mission with Kirsty’s has always been to support those navigating food allergies and intolerances by providing high-quality, great-tasting free-from food options”, said founder Kirsty Henshaw.
“The food-to-go market was an area we had not entered previously due to the short shelf-life of the products, but we were determined to find a solution, which is why we are so thrilled to have joined forces with Raynor Foods, benefiting from their expertise in this field.”
Raynor business development manager Catherine van Dok added: “We’re really excited to have created this partnership with Kirsty’s, who have been leading the way in free-from products for over 10 years.
“It’s an area of food-to-go that we have wanted to develop for some time as demands from consumers have changed, and we think we’ve come up with some fantastic options to launch this range that provide exciting, tasty solutions for those seeking alternatives when they’re on the go.”
The brand was created in 2014 and received an investment from Dragons’ Den’s Peter Jones shortly afterwards. It has since stocked major supermarkets with chilled and frozen free-from options, including pasta, pizza, pies, and Chinese and Indian-inspired meals.
