Steve Kitching, managing director of take home sales at Interbrew UK, is moving on to become country manager for the Netherlands.
He has worked in the UK business for the last 18 years. He joined Whitbread’s take home division in 1985, working in sales support before moving to roles including territory manager, business development manager and regional sales manager.
He has been in charge of take home for almost five years during which time his team doubled Interbrew UK’s sales in the sector, according to the company. He was made take home sales director in March 2000 and joined the board in April 2001.
Steve Cahillane, chief executive of Interbrew UK, said: “Steve has built a strong team. Although he will be missed by the entire organisation, this is a fantastic opportunity for him and I’m sure he will make a great success of the challenges ahead. I would like to take the opportunity to thank Steve for his immense contribution.”
